Policy & Procedures
Hours of Operation: Our regular hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 7:30 to 5:00 pm. Saturday’s PCG closes early. We open at 7:30 and close when the Last pet is done. We do not stay open any later than 3:00pm unless we are still working on any pets.

If you are running just a little late, we ask that you please give us a call and special arrangements can be provide for you.
If you can’t or don’t give PGC a call, we will close on time and an additional late fee of $10 every hour after closing, that we have to board your pet. This fee will be added to your bill. You may also choose to board your pet until the next day and that fee will only be a one day boarding fee of $20.00 and not an hourly late fee of $10.00.

If we close and your pet is boarded in our facility, there will be telephone numbers provided for you to call if you wish us to return to the facility so that you may pick up your pet the same day. We will post them on the door and leave them at the telephone numbers that was provided to us.
Reservation: PGC will accept walk-ins for any service if we have an opening. However, we strongly recommend that you make a reservation in order to ensure that we have availability. If you forget or lose our number and you wish to come in, we also strongly recommend that any walk-in be the early mornings in order to ensure availability.
Payments: Payments is due in full at the time services are provided. It is your responsibility to make sure that you understand our charges prior to Grooming or Boarding your animal. PGC does not allow clients to defer payment beyond the time that you pick up your pet or pets.

Payments: We accept cash, checks and credit cards. There will be a $25.00 handling fee for all returned checks. Accounts balances not collected for whatever reason may be sent to a third party for collection. For the purpose of collecting outstanding balances, you give your consent to receive phone calls (automated or otherwise) made to the phone numbers you provided

Pet Behavior Issues: If your pet has a behavior problem, please let PGC know immediately upon entering our facility. This does not mean that your pet cannot be groomed. It only means that we will take the extra time and necessary precautions needed for everyone safety. PGC reserve the right to muzzle your pet if necessary. If your pet is too aggressive, or your pet put any of the staff at risk of injury, PCG reserve the right to refuse service.
Boarding Payments: Boarding stays longer than one week, will require payment in advance or a valid credit card number to be on file for the purpose of charging payment in full at the end of each week. If someone else is picking up your pet you are asked to pay in advance for your pet. You will only be charge up to the day before your actually day of pick up. This is because if you pick up your pet before 12 pm on the actual day of pick, there will not be any additional boarding cost. If you pick up your pet after 12 pm on the actual day of pick up you will be charged for that day of boarding.
Boarding Policy: We recommend that you bring our pets food when boarding, but this is not required. Continuing on their own food helps then avoid digestion issues that can result from switching food. If you do bring your pets food, please be sure to bring it in a resealable container such as a zip lock bags or plastic containers with lids. We recommend bring some extra food, just in case your travel plans change. If you do not bring your own food, we provide a dry “house“ food that your pet can eat at no extra cost. If your pet run out of food we will feed them our house food unless other arrangements are made.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a reservation, it is as simple as giving us a call. If calling after working hours, it is ok to leave a voice message on our messaging system. However, in order to be fair to all clients, if you do not cancel until the same day of your appointment or if you do not keep your appointment, a $10.00 fee will be added to your account and it will be charge to your bill on your next visit. By canceling your appointment, it gives us the opportunity to place someone else in the spot.
Accidents and Injuries: PGC can’t prevent injuries and accidents 100% of the time but we try hard. While accidents and injuries can occur at any time, our primary concern is the health and safety of your animal. We ask that you tell us of any injuries, medical issues, allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing conditions that your pet or pets may have upon entering the facility. This will allow us to pay extra attention to the area and an Incident/Injury report will be filled out.

While our staff will check over all animals coming and leaving our facility, some animals can sometime receive puncture wounds or cuts, scratches, broken nails, sore paw pads, sprains or other injuries while in our facility and they may sometime be missed or go unnoticed by the staff. In additional we may not be aware of any ongoing problems your pet or pets may be having so it is super important that you let us know immediately of any injuries that may have been overlooked or any injuries your pet may have when entering or leaving the facility. It is your responsibility to closely check your animals when you come to pick up your pet or pets. We ask that you check over your animals very well for any injuries or concerns you may have before leaving our facility so to ensure that they receive the proper care.

PGC take these injuries very serious, and in saying so, we asked that you informed us of all injuries within a 24hour period if you believe that PGC may have cause any injury to your pet or pets. If We/PGC are informed within that 24hour window and if PGC is found by the veterinarian to be the cause of any injuries to your pet, PCG will take full responsibility by Paying any and all cost incurred to the veterinarian of your choosing or to our veterinarian, which ever you choose to use. We will not pay for any annual exams. We will pay only for the injury that occurred at PGC. Please remember there is only a 24hour window that you have to inform use in, If PGC is to pay any cost, so be very vigilant in keeping this time frame and informing us immediately.

Matting: When entering our facility your pet will be observed for matting. If any matting is found on your pet, there will be an addition charge to your account. If you prefer us to dematt your pet, there will be an additional charge. This charge is determined by a process we call HOP (hands on pet) observation. If it is determined that your pet can not be de-matted, and you must get all of your pet hair shaved off (kennel cut or summer cut), due to the severe and harsh condition of your pet hair, then your pet will be observed, for an additional blade fee. This additional charge is also determined by HOP.

Due to the severe conditions of your pet’s hair, PGC and staff will not be labile for any puncture wounds or cuts, scratches, broken nails, sore paw pads, sprains or any other injuries that may occur while trying to groom your pet in our facility. A injury an incident report will be provided for you explaining this and will require your signature stating that you understand this and agree.
Emergencies: If any injury or medical problem develops while your pet is in the care of PGC, PGC is authorized to do whatever is deemed necessary for the safety, health and well-being of your pet. And you agree to be responsible for any expense incurred unless it is deemed by the veterinarian that your pets medical condition is cause by PGC and to be the fault of PGC.
If our staff is concerned that your pet has become seriously injured or ill, we will contact you or your emergency contact number, if possible. However, you acknowledge that a decision may need to be made quickly, and you authorize PGC to take your pet for emergency treatment if and when PGC, in its sole discretion, deems necessary. Veterinary care can be expensive and surgeries to correct emergency medical condition are not always successful. If you would prefer that PGC not seek emergency care for your pet, or if you would like a dollar limit on any emergency care, you must document that desire in writing with your signature for your pets file. Otherwise, PGC will seek all available treatment possible in consultation with the veterinarian and you will be responsible for the payment or reimbursement of any expenses paid on behalf of your pet. If it is deemed, by the veterinarian, that PGC did cause your pet it’s medical problem or medical condition, PGC will pay all medical expenses.
Risk: While we strive to achieve a safe environment for all pets at PGC, we cannot prevent accidents, injuries, illnesses or changes in your pet’s behavior. By bring your pet to PGC, you accept these risks and you release PGC and its staff from all liability arising from the occurrence of such events, unless it’s an open wound and then PGC will pay the veterinarian expense to care for that wound.
Medications: if your pet is taking any medications, please be sure to tell us about it. We are not license veterinarians, so we will not take on the responsibility of giving any medications to any pets. Please administer all medication before bring your pet to our facility or have your veterinarian administer your pet’s medications. PGC will not bear any responsibility for any adverse reactions due to the administering of medications. PGC suggest that you wait ½ hour to an hour before bring your pet to our facility for grooming if any medication is given.
Health Condition: All pets attending PGC must be in overall good health. Pets that have stiches or medical devices, hearing conditions, or cast must be brought to the attention of the staff of PGC immediately upon entering the facility. If your pet has hip or joint condition, or other physical conditions that could pose your pet any problem or discomfort, please discuss then with your veterinarian before your pet participate in any grooming here at PGC. If there are any conditions that your pet is going through please inform the staff immediately so that an injury/incident report can be filled out. This does not mean that your pet cannot be seen here, it just means we will place extra attention to those areas of care on your pet and PGC and staff will be release of any liability of any injuries that may occur due to the prior condition of your pet.
Allergies: If your pet has any allergies of any type, it is your responsibility to ensure that the staff at PGC is aware of these allergies and the protocols to follow in the event of a reaction. If your pet has any food allergies it is also important to bring your pets own food when boarding, in the event that we switch our house brand of food.
Bedding: You may bring bedding for your pet if you are confident that it will not pose a choking hazard for your pet. Please remember, your pet may act differently when away from home and may chew their bedding while away from home. We will not be responsibility for any damage to your pets bedding or pet your feeding bowl
Collars: Most collars will be return at the time of arrival, unless they are pets with behavioral problems. PGC will not assume responsibility for any collars left on pets. We strongly recommend you remove and take them with you.
Fleas: All pets attending PGC are required to be free of fleas and ticks and on a monthly flea and tick treatment. If a pet is found to have fleas or ticks, we will attempt to give you a call first, then we will give your pet a flea and tick dip/bath. There is an addition charge for this flea and tick bath and it will be added to your bill. In an attempt to keep down infestation in our facility all infested pet will automatically have to have this flea and tick bath. If your pet is allergic to a flea and tick bath, you are allowed to provide your own flea and tick shampoo. Otherwise you will be asked to come and pick up your pet.
Photos/Video/Webcams: Photos, videos and webcam footage of the pets, staff at PGC may be used on the PGC website, social media, lobby displays or in other marketing material. You are consenting to our use of your image or your pets image, likeness and name in such marketing materials. All photos and webcam images are property of PGC and may not be used by you without prior written consent.
Abandoned Dogs: PGC is not a dog rescue group nor do we find homes for any pet. Therefore, no pets may be abandoned here at PGC. If your pet is lodging with us you may extent your pets stay by calling the front desk and making a payment in full if the stay is extended beyond one week. Any pet that is left at PGC without extending he stay and appropriate payment, will be considered abandoned. If your pet is considered to be abandoned under local, state or federal laws or regulations, you understand that PGC will by default, become the legal owner and guardian of the pet. PGC will then, in its sole discretion, determine whether to find another home for your pet in an attempt to recover any funds lost due to boarding and feeding of your pet. We may also choose to relinquish the pet to a local shelter of its choice. You understand and agree that if you abandon your pet at PGC, you may be unable to retrieve possession of your pet and your will have no recourse against PGC. You release PGC from all further liability and responsibility for your pet. It is important for you to leave an emergency contact number other than someone that usually travels with you so that in the event you are unable to contact us, we have someone to contact about your pet’s stay. If you abandon your pet, you will still be responsible for the full boarding stay and any expense incurred, including but not limited to any applicable attorney'.
